#MastiffsCan September Virtual Scent Work Challenge

Earn the AKC VSWT-B at Home.

We’re shifting from walking to sniffing. All September, take on the AKC Virtual Scent Work—Beginner (VSWT-B) title. (As of end of 2024, only 15 Mastiffs had earned it.)

How it works (Beginner level)

Record two searches in two different indoor home locations.

One hidden item per search (treat, toy, or ball).

Time limit: 1:30 per search, single continuous take from entry to clear find.

Setup: Dog waits behind a blind while you place the hide; pan to show the blind and search area.

Beginner hides: Treats on the floor; hide away from the entrance, visually concealed but accessible.

Use this packet: checklist, sample Beginner search video, and full instructions for title submission and the raffle.

September Raffle

Submit two videos to AKC for evaluation (any AKC Virtual Scent Work level) during September.

To enter: forward your AKC “Entry Received” emails to mcoa.wd.app@gmail.com.

Prize: Leerburg AKC Scent Work Kit.
