Entry Fees

The AKC has announced a $1 increase in their event entry fees effective January 1, 2026, with an additional $1 increase taking effect on January 1, 2027.

When this news was received, the Board carefully reviewed our National entry pricing. We discovered that, after all fees are deducted, some entries are actually operating at a loss. We also compared our National entry fees with those of other working breeds and found that ours remain among the lowest.

With this in mind, and in light of the upcoming AKC fee increases, the Board has voted to raise our entry fees by $6 across the board.

We hope you understand that this step is necessary. Entry fees should, at minimum, cover their own costs—they should not put the club in a position of financial loss.

Since COVID, expenses have risen significantly, and our club has not raised revenues at the same pace. We are also exploring additional ways to generate income for the club. Your ideas are welcome—please share them using the suggestion box on our website.
